Milk and Naps is a free baby log for families. It has no ads, no trackers and no analytics, and your family's log is never sold or shared. This page explains exactly what is stored and who can see it.
What we store
- Your account: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google.
- Your family: the family name, time zone, and the name each member chose (like "Mom" or "Dad").
- Your baby's log: what you enter, such as name, birthday, sex, feeds, diapers, sleep, measurements, notes, and who logged each entry.
- Sign-in cookie: one cookie that keeps you signed in. If you open the demo, one more cookie remembers that for a day. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
- On your phone: so the app works without a signal, it keeps a copy of the screens you last opened and any entries not yet sent, in your browser's storage on that phone. Signing out clears it. A file you import (for example from Huckleberry) is read on your phone; only the entries are sent to us, not the file.
Who can see it
Only the people in your family: you and anyone you invite with an invite link. Nobody else can see your log. The person who runs Milk and Naps can technically access the database to keep the service running and to answer your support requests, and does not look at family logs otherwise.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts the app and its database, and runs a quick bot check (Turnstile) when you ask for a sign-in code. That check doesn't use advertising cookies or track you across sites.
- Resend sends the sign-in code emails, so it receives your email address.
- Google, only if you choose "Continue with Google", to confirm who you are.
Each of them only processes what it needs to do that job.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Download your baby's whole log as a spreadsheet (CSV) any time from Settings.
- Deleting a baby's log moves it to Recently deleted for 30 days so a mistake can be undone, then it is permanently deleted.
- Deleting your account removes you right away. If you were the last person in your family, the family's log is deleted with it.
- Copies can remain in our backups for up to 8 weeks before they expire. Backups are private and only used to recover from a mistake or outage.
Children
Milk and Naps is meant for parents and caregivers aged 18 and over. The information about a baby is entered by their family and is only used to show that family their log.
